Join us for a jolly breakfast with the man in red! There will be holiday music, crafts, and of course, a yummy pancake breakfast! Breakfast will be served from 7:30am-9:30am on December 14 at the Bennett Recreation Center. Pictures will be available with Santa for an extra charge of $5 per photo. The 7th Annual Holiday in the Park will create magical memories for those who live in our community as we explore and experience our beautiful city park throughout the entire month of December. The half mile rustic drive through Howell City Park will be lined with a hundred trees decorated for the season by local families, businesses, church groups, and service organizations. We have created an enchanting setting reminiscent of a Currier & Ives painting.
Holiday in the Park will be running until Wednesday, December 25. Stop by between 6:00pm and 9:00pm to view the enchanting and beautiful winter wonderland! Cost is $5 per car. Click here for more information.
A Howell Area Aquatic Center tradition on the 2nd Friday of the month from September to May, Flick n’ Floats allow you the opportunity to float on an inner tube while we entertain you and your friends with a special Float-in showing of “Elf” on December 13. Surprise your children who are in the third grade or under by having Santa call from the North Pole! Letter to parents detailing the program will be available for pickup at the Bennett and Barnard Centers or download from our website. Calls will be made Tuesday, December 17 or Thursday, December 19. Winter Swim Lessons – Open December 17
The Howell Area Aquatic Center invites you and your family to join our “School of Fish” learn to swim program for children ages 6 months and up, taught in conjunction with our springboard diving program. This program is designed to teach skills that are age appropriate, emphasizing safety facts, parent-student-teacher interaction, and assessment of student skills. Classes are limited to 4-6 students allowing for optimal learning. Students are placed in classes based on their swimming skills, so ages listed are to be used as a guideline only. Remember, classes fill quickly, so please call us as close to registration dates as possible for your choice of times.

Parent Night Out – Friday, December 20
Need a night out or possibly even just a night to relax? Well, the Howell Teen Center is here to help! We will be offering an entertaining Friday night once a month for the kids (ages 5-10), in order for parents to enjoy a night out on the town! Games, crafts, and a healthy late-night snack will be provided. Proceeds will be going to help the Howell Teen Center and the NEW Countryside Veterinary Dog Park. Click here for more information.
Swim with Santa – Saturday, December 21
Enjoy this Aquatic Center tradition while taking a dip in the pool and share your Christmas wish list with Santa. Have your photo taken with Santa and receive a holiday frame to display your memories. Price includes a 4×6 picture with Santa, a holiday frame, and a toy from Santa’s toy chest! Have you ever wondered if learning to fly is for you? Is flying something that’s on your bucket list or just something exciting to learn to do? This is an informational class that will give you the background of what it takes to become a private pilot as a hobby or as a career. Time will include a basic introduction of aerodynamics of aircraft, opportunity to learn the parts of the aircraft, and also a chance to be on our Redbird Flight Simulator.
